My dad on sex: kissing = pregnancy

When I was 16, I wanted to go out on my first date. I asked my dad if I could go for a matinee movie with a

boy – he said no. He said, “Holding hands leads to kissing, leads to pregnancy!”

"We were three sisters and we didn’t have any formal sex talks in our family. When I entered teenage, everyone was going out on dates and talking openly about sex, but I couldn’t do that. My friends just lied to their parents and hid information from them.
"But I didn’t want to lie to my parents to be able to date. So I confronted them. When a guy asked me out on a date, I walked up to my dad and asked him if I could go to a matinee movie show with the boy. I thought it was safe because it was a day date. I couldn’t have planned it wrong."

First date
"I wasn’t right. My dad declined point blank. He said, 'You are too young to judge boys. I remember being that young and having all these hormones. It’s uncontrollable. Holding hands leads to kissing leads to pregnancy.'

"I was furious. Here I was trying to play the responsible child – seeking permission to go out on a date as a 16-year-old. And my dad was non-negotiable. I didn’t want to have sex or get pregnant. I just wanted to go out with a guy."

Educating parents
"My dad was coming up with this terrible narrative about sex. It didn’t make any sense. What he said was just not true. He was a well-educated man who knew about sex but just didn’t have the skills to translate them to his teenage daughter. That’s when I realised that talking about sex isn’t easy after all.

"Nothing can prepare parents for having sex talks with their children. Especially when there’s a whole lot of cultural pressure. A lot of parents just don’t talk about sex with their children. Throughout my adolescence, I faced this hurdle. I couldn’t talk to my parents about my relationships, because relationships often lead to sex and my family didn’t want to accept that."

Useless information
"If I were to turn back time and change something, I’d like my parents to stop giving me useless information. I’d liked them to be more truthful and not tell me that holding hands can lead to kissing and kissing can lead to pregnancy!

"In the end, I did go out on that date and found the guy unattractive. Never held hands, never kissed, never got pregnant. But that’s not the point! Instead of having been scared of sex, I’d have liked to know that it could also be a nice thing."

Elderly nuns sexually assaulted and killed in Burundi

September 9, 2014 — A set of horrific attacks on a convent in Bujumbura, capital city of Burundi left three elderly Italian nuns sexually assaulted and dead:

Three Italian nuns were found murdered over the weekend in the north of Burundi’s capital, officials and a priest in the African state said on Monday.
Police initially reported that two nuns were stabbed to death on Sunday afternoon. The killer then battered one of the two with a rock, before fleeing the convent.
Father Mario Pulicini, responsible for the parish in Kamenge, a northern suburb of Bujumbura, named the nuns as Lucia Pulici, who was 75 and due to celebrate her birthday on Monday, and Olga Raschietti, 82. He said they were found dead in their dormitory on Sunday.

But in the early hours of Monday morning, another nun in the same convent was killed, her body beaten and head hacked off. Colleagues named her as Bernadette Boggia, aged 79.
“It is very difficult to know the reason behind the killing, but nothing can justify it,” Pulicini said.
The Vatican said the killings had “greatly saddened” Pope Francis. Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican secretary of state, said in a telegram sent on the pope’s behalf: “Pope Francis has learned with great sadness of the murder of three nuns.”
Burundi’s police said the motive of the killing was not clear, pointing out that no money was taken.
The three nuns had served in Burundi for seven years, after working several years in the east of another central African state, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Raschietti had spent the last 50 years of her life in Africa. Pulici and Raschietti had helped look after sick people, the order said, while Boggian worked in a sewing school they had set up for girls.

This past weekend while promoting his latest film, “The Equalizer,” during a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” chat, Denzel Washington revealed his interest in being the next actor in line to star in the global franchise, Huffington Post reported.
“The next James Bond? They better hurry up!” Washington wrote in response to a fan’s question. “Yes I would! Who’s doing James Bond now… Daniel Craig! Did they shoot another one? Everybody should tweet Denzel is James Bond! Send it to the studio! We start the Denzel is Bond campaign today! James Washington. Denzel Bond!”
Meanwhile, on Twitter, fans are debating the possibility of seeing the veteran actor take over the reins in portraying Ian Fleming’s iconic brand, under the the hashtag #DenzelIsJamesBond.

The Nigerian king and his wives (all dressed in matching outfits) were the objects of attention as soon as they stepped into the departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos and that opened the floodgates to comments from Nigeria’s active social media.
While many people concentrated on the negative aspects of the polygamous marriage that was on display, some others celebrated a king and queens in tune with their culture, and yet some others focused on the complexion and age of the oloris (queens): did they bleach their skins? How come they are so young? Isn’t the youngest olori too young to be married to an old man, even though he is a king?
The criticism did come pouring in, but so did the praises.
In this age of everything Western and modern, it is expected that people will call a polygamous king medieval. Still, the same people will celebrate a rapper with several baby mamas for being ‘modern’. But truth be told, medieval or not, the king is living the fantasy of most hot-blooded men.
Yep, and the king and his wives wrapped London in Aso Ebi.

Mr. Kobia, the guy who was captured in the video with akina Sonko, Jaguar et'al saying Raila lazima auawe asipoheshimu Uhuru was today roughed up by RAO's security detail when he attempted to force himself to where baba was having lunch.

Not understanding how attraction works for the honiez

This is very true. I’ve talked a bit about how guys have these mental barriers they project into the real world. Things like “She won’t like me because I’m too bald, fat, ugly, etc.” That’s because in our reality as guys, we do not find chiqs who are ugly to be attractive. But when it comes to gals, who are more emotional creatures and rely more on their feelings than logical thought when it comes to attraction, the biggest thing that gets them going is how a guy can COMMUNICATE with them.
Communicate in ways such as what we say, body language, and our actions as guys. Taking strong frames of “I am the prize. I am a great guy and chiqs will be lucky to be with me” and imposing that on others will get you the same effect as a gorgeous body and Brad Pitt-like face, if pulled off right.
Guys who are good looking have a distinct, inherent advantage over the rest of us. But if they are boring guys who fail to keep the gal engaged, she is going to move on and look for someone else. You may not be able to change your looks, but you CAN change the way you communicate with women. In that respect, there is hope for all of us, and in my opinion, this is the area where Double Your Dating shines the most.
